For those of you who don't know, I am at currently at uni in Preston so a couple of weeks ago my momma came to visit. It was just for the day so we did lots of girlie things :)  I love going home for weekends to enjoy the home comforts like home cooked food, heating and a clean house. And of course to see my momma but it was a nice change for her to visit me here!

The first thing we came across was a little vintage beach in one of the shopping centres. There were even the striped deckchairs, buckets and spades and bunting. I thought it was such a lovely idea and all the children were clearly having a great time!

After we had finished shopping we went to this gorgeous cupcake shop called Strictly Cupcakes. It's just down Canon Street and it not only sells amazing cupcakes like the ones below but yummy treats and little trinkets and it is decorated in the cutest vintage style! They do an amazing variety of milkshakes, I can recommend the Oreo one and it is really reasonably priced, perfect for a student. Canon Street is also full of vintage clothing stores such as Retro Rehab and you can get a vast array of tea's at the Mystery Tea House.

Above are 3 of the cup cakes my momma bought for me and my house mates. We got strawberry, raspberry, Maltesers and a Chocolate Orange which Rob had nibbled before I could take a picture!  Momma also treated me to a new pair of boots (she understands I'm a poor student!) from Primark. They were only £20, they are reasonably comfy and I love the gold details and the buckles.

Jut before we both headed home we went to one of my favourite places to eat in Preston, Moka. They have a tapas menu and do a really discounted menu early evening. They also have amazing cocktails and we all know I can't resist a strawberry Daquiri!

Does anyone else have any recommendations in Preston? What sort of things do you like to do when people come to visit?
