On our last day in America we were treated to a breakfast of pancakes before getting back on the train into Grand Central.

As our flight wasn't until later that evening we dropped our bags off at a recommended storage place on W34th street and walked down to pier 89 for the half island boat trip which was also recommended by the waiter in the Polo Lounge.

It was a lovely way to see the city skyline and the Statue of Liberty really is a lot smaller in real life than it looks on the tele.

We stopped for pulled pork sandwiches on the way back to collect our luggage and as we were feeling super jet lagged we bought one last Starbucks to keep us going to the airport.

The flight back went smoothly and we had a lovely layover in Reykjavik.

Finally we arrived back into Manchester Airport, fell onto the train to Carlisle and slept in the car all the way home.

I'm not sure whether I was suffering jet lag or post holiday blues (or both) but it look me around 3 weeks to finally feel like myself!

Wow, that's it, my American adventure is over. I hope you all enjoyed following along with me? I would love to know what you guys thought of my posts, if you have any feedback? I would also like to take this moment to thank my mom once again because if it wasn't for her we couldn't have gone. So thanks momma!
