The second part of the week began with a day off the slopes as the gondola was still closed due to the high winds.

We decided to head into the capital, Andorra la Vella which was a 20 minute bus ride down the valley. It was fine but nothing special. The department store (can't remember what it's called!) was very impressive and we were all tempted by numerous items but instead walked a little down the river passed the Dali clock and into a local pizza restaurant for yummy spaghetti bolognese.

On the way back we decided to stop in Pal and explore. By explore I mean we drank hot chocolate with Baileys and watched the other skiers and snowboarders trying to pick up some tips. It was a very beautiful place.

The next day the weather really picked up and we had some amazing riding and learned to properly link our turns, even feeling very hung over. For sure the best way to get over a hangover is fresh air and exercise!

We celebrated completing our ski school courses with beers in the sunshine sharing stories from the week.

I sensibly left my shoes at the hotel having worn my comfy boarding boots everyday so the lovely guy from the rental shop taped my feet in bags and sent me on my way. Another plus for the location of the hotel ;)

Virgin brightening our post holiday blues!

I can't believe the week went by so quickly but it was absolutely incredible! I have fallen head over heels (literally) for boarding and spend far too long on Pinterest window shopping equipment.

Thank you to everyone that made our week so incredible including our fantastic Neilson rep, Hollie! Catch up with the first part of my snowboarding week here.

Are you a skier or a boarder? Where is your favourite place to hit the slopes so I can start planning my next trip?!
