Yey, the annual Met Gala arrived just in time to curb my red carpet withdrawals!
The event, which is also known as the Met Ball is an annual fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in New York, chaired by Anna Wintour. The gala also marks the opening of the Costume Institute's annual fashion exhibition; this year being 'China: Through the Looking Glass'. Guests are expected to dress according to the exhibition theme so expect some creative Eastern Asian influences,
Adriana Lima in Marc Jacobs - I particularly love her beauty look.
Adrien Brody- The jacket is absolutely fabulous and thankfully he didn't go over the top with the rest of the outfit.
Bee Shaffer in Alexander McQueen
Bella Hadid in Topshop - Love, love, love, love, love!
Carey Mulligan in Balenciaga
Emily Ratajkowski in Topshop
Gigi Hadid in DVF
Gong Ll in Roberto Cavalli
Hailee Steinfeld in Michael Kors
Hailey Baldwin in Topshop
Hannah Bagshawe in Valentino
Helen Mirren
Jaime King in Hugo Boss
Janelle Monae in H&M - The fact that this is custom H&M was the decider for me.
Jennifer Lawrence in Dior
Justin Bieber in Balmain - Yep, I did it and I'm going to say it too; I think he looks really cool.
Kate Hudson in Michael Kors
Kendall Jenner in Calvin Klein Collection
Kim Kardashian West in Roberto Cavalli - For me this just wasn't as risque as Beyonce's look, just a little more appropriate for the Met Ball (sorry Bey lovers!)
Lily Aldridge - The colour and the lips, oh and that fish bag!
Michael B. Jordan
Rose Byrne in Calvin Klein Collection
Selena Gomez in Vera Wang - The headpiece is the icing on the cake.
Shupei Qin in Tommy Hilfiger - She looks like an actual Princess (enter love heart eyes emoji).
Sienna Miller in Thakoon - This is a little out there for me but I think Sienna really works it.
Tory Burch in Tory Burch
Vanessa Hudgens in H&M - Ooo, H&M, killin' it.
Wendi Murdoch in Oscar De La Renta
I think people did really well with the theme this year and there were just so many looks that I loved, as you can tell by how long this post is. Also, get this - you can actually buy all 4 of the Topshop dresses that were seen on the red carpet, for £200 or less too!
I would love to hear your best dressed from last nights event, let me know in the comments.
