With the luxury of Franschhoek and La Petite Ferme to enliven our appetite it was time to enjoy a little hotel life in Camps Bay.

The water temperature may be rather cold here but the perfectly sandy beaches make it the playground for the rich, young and beautiful. We arrived on November 5th too so there was lots going on including huge firework displays.

We stayed at Place on the Bay (definitely worth the sea view), right on the beach front and situated at the end of a street of top notch bars and restaurants. The perfect place to pop on our very unworn so far wedges.

Head down to Clifton 4th beach if you need a little encouragement to hit the gym (everyone is super gorgeous) and when you feel peckish again some of my favourite Camps Bay eats include Umi and Blues. I also hear The Hussar Grill and The Bungalow in Clifton are amazing too.
