Another easy ride from Camps Bay is the Victoria & Alfred waterfront which is definitely not your average harbour.

Although we didn't pick a great exploring day weather wise we were lucky to be around during the Volvo Ocean Race. This is an epic 9 month long, round-the-world team sailing race which covers 4 oceans and 5 continents, phew! You can get involved in all the action at the waterfront including, see the teams boats, cheer on your team at the in-port race, test out new Volvo technology and even catch a game of kayak water polo plus much more, all for free.
If all that excitement isn't enough you can spend the rest of your day shopping, from local markets to international brands, watching local street performers and even more importantly, eating.
Our favourite place? Outside on the terrace eating mussels and drinking milkshakes at Quay Four.
