My dad's family all live in Villiersdorp which is sort of on the way back from Knysna to Cape Town just inland a little.
I absolutely love staying with them, we have such fun, off the beaten track catching up with the many cousins! When we came when I was younger each family had a caravan at Theewaterskloof Dam and we would spend Christmas there so now we always make sure to go back for a day and have a big braai with everyone.
Two mornings a week my aunties take bread and sandwiches up to the children in the township so we went to help out while we were there. It is very eye opening. The children are all so lovely though and very grateful.
We also spent a lot of time swimming in the pool with their dogs and having jumping competitions - it's the best way to get in when the water is cold!
