This post is pretty picture heavy but I just wanted to show you every little detail of the most amazing hotel I have ever stayed in! Named as Conde Nast Travellers best hotel in the world 2013 our expectations were pretty high but wow La Residence did not disappoint.
You are greeted on arrival to the spectacular building by the managers waving enthusiastically and whisked on a tour, flowers and their own rosé in hand. I have never been treated more like royalty and they don't miss any detail. They then took us down to our private villa (I would definitely recommend booking one of these if you ever stay here), explained about the free mini bar, which by the way there was nothing mini about and left us to it.
We immediately whipped on our swimsuits and jumped into our pool, champagne in tow. Every time we left the room the mini bar was restocked with our requests of Amarula and biltong, more Champagne, wine and beer not to mention all the spirits and snacks. We didn't go thirsty that is for sure.
The view was pretty dreamy too. Do you guys have a favourite luxury hotel?
