A
new day. A new destination. Today we set off at half 9 in search for Lake
Tahoe. This was somewhere I had wanted to visit for a long time and had mixed
reviews from people we knew but I am so glad we made the effort to go.
We
arrived in South Lake shortly after our first drive through ATM experience
and after struggling for reasonably priced accommodation we settled on a pretty
dodgy Travel Inn but in a great location.
We
dropped off our bags and went straight to the lake to hire SUP's at $35 for 2
hours which was so much fun.

Paddling
between Nevada and California was testing for the waterproofing of my z1
Compact but it passed swimmingly ;)
We
reluctantly dragged ourselves out of the water and dressed for supper.
Exploring
the waterfront, we decided on a restaurant called Riva Grill South Shore where
we nibbled on fresh seafood salads, sipped on Napa Valley wine and watched the
sunset.
Have any of you guys been to Riva Grill? Can you recommend any other great places to eat?
