What better way to spend a spare week than
visiting family in Co. Sligo and exploring the area?
We took the ferry from Stranraer to Belfast and drove the width of Ireland (which takes around 3 hours with wee stops) to
County Sligo and their beautiful cottage overlooking the bay.
One of my favourite walks in
the area when I was younger was the 1.2km up Knocknarea which provides beautiful
views over the coastline. Also at the top is the tomb of Queen Maeve!

Our second day was spent enjoying pancakes in Strandhill.
Have any of you guys been to Sligo before?
