I know, I know, more food. But in a hotel this beautiful there is an afternoon tea worth boasting about!
Set in the conservatory of the colloquial Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel overlooking the gardens is one of the most spectacular afternoon teas. Make your selection of the largest variety of teas I have seen at a hotel (and choose a different one for your next cup) and sit back as your savoury items are brought to the table followed by freshly baked scones. Make sure you leave room though because when you have devoured whats on the table head to the buffet for all you can eat delicious sweet treats. Oh my! And for only R265 per person it is a crazy bargin for anyone visiting from oversees - that's only £13.
All this reminising is making me peckish. Ooo, those mini lemon meringue pies...
