Just a short walk from Mount Nelson is The Company's Garden and bohemian Long Street.

The gardens are filled with an eclectic mix of people, extremely tame squirrels and a vast array of sun drenched greenery. They are also surrounded by a variety of governement buildings, museums and galleries including the Cape Town Parliment and the South African National Gallery.
Long Street is probably best known for its crazy night life but when the sun comes up, browse the shops and pause for brunch outside at Lola's or fancy a juice? I hear Orchard on Long is pretty amazing!
