Another delight about my sister
living in Fife is her proximity to various Scottish cities such as Glasgow,
Edinburgh and Dundee.
After a leisurely breakfast, by
the time we arrived in Dundee it was nearing lunch time so a quick Trip Advisor
search brought up some recommendations.
The first was a recommendation
also from my sister, T Ann Cake however we were a group of 7 and it is apparently quite
small (but great if you are a smaller group). The next recommendation was Jessie's Kitchen so we thought we would give that a whirl.
After driving around the block
a few times we eventually found it. It's situated up a driveway in a beautiful,
large country home next to Turriff's garden centre.
It was very busy so they took
our details (booking recommended!) and we were told to wait. We ended up
waiting rather a long time but it was definitely worth it.
We spent the time exploring the
garden centre, admiring the quirky gifts, plants and produce they sold.
Finally we were shown to our
table where we indulged in tea and panini's served with the unique salads and
vegetable combinations of the day.
We worked off our lunch by
making our way to the top of the hill overlooking Dundee and the river Tay and
watched the sunset.
You can also see what I got up to the previous day in Falkland.
What is your favourite place to eat? What should I make sure
not to miss out on next time I'm in Dundee?
